A Bridge of Roses is helping four different projects in Madagascar.
Centre Sacre-Coeur (Ambatolampy) Center for Professional Formation
The Centre Sacre-Coeur is a little village. It prepares students for different CAP (vocational training for youth)

Tailoring
It serves 240 young students.
Since it is addressed to student who has some kind of problematic situation (poverty, disable) it has a possibility of internship. In this moment 60 children are hosted. Beside classrooms the Center has a complex full equipped for sports (soccer, track and field, martial arts)
Ambatolampy is in the Vakinankaratra Region of Madagascar . Where there is a high problem of people with disabilities. All related to Alcoholism, drugs, consanguinity, diabetes non cured, amputation as a results mines work. The Centre Sacre-Coeur is for those children that have no other choice.
In order to help those children with amputation the Center has decided to create a new workshop in which builds artificial limbs. “If we really want to help these children to find their own way we need first to help them to walk” says Frere Romain the director of the Center.
The government of Madagascar has donated the main building and he pays for the teachers. But it did not help to furnish it and to buy the machinery necessary.
It was at this point that our charity intervened. With our help and the help of two other donors Robert Fitzgerald and Todd Hyten the project was completed in 2008.
Enfant Du Monde
“Children are the future of Humanity. Let’s act so they are also its present”
Enfante du Monde is an international organization that helps more than 20.000 children all around the world each year. Promotes children’s rights. Protects the most vulnerable children afflicted from wars and street children. EMDH it is present in Madagascar since 1998, providing pre-school and primary education, children right’s awarness, vocational training for youth, prevention.
Our charity has provided funds to buy 250 desks for two schools in the Region of Mahajanga.. Before our intervention children were obliged to sit on the floor and use the sand has board.
We donated $4,000.
Centre Fitiavana
Like most societies, including our own, Madagascar has been slow to realize that people with disabilities are entitled to the education and engagement that will make them full citizens. Given its its poverty and limited educational system, the country makes little provision for anyone who requires specialized assistance. The Centre Fitiavana is the rare entity that takes on this challenge.
Services for disadvantaged children, particularly those with mental disabilities, are the focus of Centre Fitiavana. They provide schooling, room and board or transportation services for approximately one hundred children with great needs. A key objective of the center is to integrate the children with disabilities with the rest of the student population.
Our help is crucial. Due to the global financial crisis, the Center lost a third of its financial support. In addition, the coup d'etat in March 2009 has led to higher prices and more unemployment. We have also agreed to support them for a three year period, to give them some financial stability and allow them to plan more than one year at a time.
Graines de Bitume
Many of the children of Antananarivo, Madagascar's capital, live on the street, with little contact with adults. Graines de Bitume provides these children with meals, clothing and activities that connect them with the world that lives under a roof. Through their work they aim to put these youngsters on a path to regular school.
